Is it sad or genius that a lowly blogger seems to know more about saving one of America’s treasured brands than their advertising agency does? It’s time for boutique advertising to make itself known. I’m voting we move the Schlitz accountt to Bills BrainWorks. At least we’d be amused. Bill, you should write a book!

You’re right about the out-of-nowhere clamor for Yuengling, which I thought was a Chinese beer because of the weird spelling. They claim to have a long brewing tradition, but I’d never even heard the name until the recent flurry of TV spots. Nice job with the series. You’re the Bob Woodward of beer!

I’m not a beer drinker (more of a Cherry Coke Zero guy), but I found this whole series fascinating and a hell of a lot of fun to read. And needless to say, I didn’t know any of this before. Thanks, Bill.
